I HAVE tried 5-htp. It put me in a bad mood when I took it. Simple as that. I am usually very even-tempered and it caused me to have a really short fuse.

5-HTP made me incredibly sick. Use caution with this product. The book was good, initially I was very excited about 5-HTP and all the great things it appeared to offer. But on three separate attempts, I experienced symptoms similar to severe bacterial infection.

I can’t comment on the book as I have not read it. But since you are on this page and considering the book, assume you are interested in 5-HTP. I just want to encourage you to explore this remedy…I’ve tried many prescription and non-prescription formulations, and this one has far and away worked the best. Others worked as well for a time, but then dropped off. Of course, must include the caveat that my make-up is undoubtedly different than yours, so your results may vary – but…check it out!
