    As the title implies, this bombastic tome dictates, “You will obey! or not sleep at all.”

    The author details over a dozen “push” procedures for relaxation, becoming sleepy, etc., a couple of which are downright silly. The summary, “Golden Rules of Sleep” are recommendations that are common to insomnia resources.

    “Say Goodnight to Insomnia” by G.D. Jacobs is a better written guide to abetting insomnia. Many of the approaches touted by McKenna are recommended, but in a kinder, gentler, and more effective manner.
